'In order to see birds it is necessary to become a part of the silence.' - Robert Lynd

I am interested in a diverse set of topics ranging from a basic avian biology (breeding and migration), through evolutionary and behavioural ecology, to signalling and communication in birds. I am dealing with various groups of birds, with the little auk being the prime model species. To find out what I have been up and I am currently dealing with, please see Publications and Ongoing research

I am carring out my research both in the field (Arctic, Faroe Islands, Poland, France) and in the molecular lab (molecular: sexing, parentage analyses, population genetics, MHC genes). Please contact with me, if you would like to collaborate.

I am currently hold a post-doc position (50/50 reaserch doing and teaching) at Department of Vertebrate Ecology and Zoology, University of Gdańsk, Poland
